We're pleased to announce that we'll be playing at the Northampton Balloon Festival on Sunday 22nd August - come along and enjoy a great family day with loads of attractions, hot air balloons, trade stalls, craft fair and of course - us!

We're working hard on securing more dates - keep watching this space, we hope to be announcing more dates very soon.

Well, it's been a long and hard last six months, after our tremendous gig in Rugby our lead singer 'Ant' had to leave us for far away fields and a new life....man he was sadly missed. We advertised for another lead singer and well..where have all the Floydian singers gone? There were none to be had anywhere! and then suddenly, right out of the blue our very own 'Ant' returns to the fold, a bit weather worn with his travels but ready as always, to sing his heart out. So now here we are again, all of the original members back together and ready to do what we do best, we'll be seeing you all in 2010 better than ever.

What a night - thank you to everyone at LMRCA for making us feel so welcome. We had a very enjoyable evening and we hope you did so too.

Our special thanks go to Tarqs from soundsounds who was our sound guru for the evening - thanks for the great sound and for making it so easy for us!.

Hopefully we'll be back at LMRCA before the end of the year.

Just a quick post to keep you all updated:
Preparations at UKPFTS HQ are progressing well, newbies Ant and Gary have fitted in brilliantly (which we knew they would!). Work is progressing well and we will hopefully be out gigging very soon indeed. We're all really excited that we're finally close to gigging and can't wait to get out there, watch this space!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome two new members to the UKPFTS line-up.

Ant Smith has joined us on lead vocals and occasional rhythm guitar (he also plays a mean tambourine).

Gary Davis (oh Gary Davis, oh Gary Davis, oh Gary Davis on the radio) has joined us on Bass Guitar and backing vocals (between 12 and 2).

It's been a long time since we added any news to the site - so here goes!...

We've been hard at work rehearsing the set, getting ready to hit the ground running. We want everything to be just perfect for you so please bear with us while we sort a few of the songs out!.

A little bit of member merry go-round is ensuing at the moment, Neil has decided to move back to his old Floyd band - good luck Neil, we wish you all the best. We are soon to be auditioning new members which hopefully won't take too long to get up to speed! - look out for our mailers in local ads or click here.

Behind the scenes we now have a sound and lighting guy on board - the venues we've contacted are now waiting for a full line-up so we can book the dates!

Yesterday saw us back in the studio putting the final touches to our demo, all that we need to do now is the final mixing which will be done on the 1st March.

Wow!, what a great weekend we had - We were in the studio Saturday, we worked hard all day under the stewardship of David Smith @ Becks Studio in Wellingborough. He was brilliant and kept the whole day calm and relaxed which created the perfect recording atmosphere - which allowed us to get on with the job in hand and what a job it turned out to be - the recordings came out great. Watch this space for details of how you will be able to listen to them very soon!.

We also had a great day on Sunday with our photo-shoot. The weather was great (although a little cold) but well worth the effort.

Big day for us tomorrow as we will all be in the studio recording our demo. We've picked the tracks and have been hard at work rehearsing. Fingers crossed!.

At last our new project is underway - we've now got a full line-up, so February will see us hard at work rehearsing and refining the songs so when we play them for you they won't just be good versions, but played as close to the album versions as possible (which we believe is the way they should be played!)

We are convinced that Floyd fans really need to hear the music the way they were intended to be heard. So with all that in mind we look forward to seeing you all in the very near future.
